Protect Our Children, Inc. is an organization of local citizens committed to fighting the sexual victimization of children through the following programs:
Neighborhood Alert
Residents in the vicinity of a sentenced child-molester are notified through fliers sent by mail, or by hand delivery of the Guardian Brevard. Copies of our quarterly publication are tossed on the lawns of at least 100 residents in close proximity to an offender featured in the Guardian.
Court Monitor Program:
Volunteers wearing large badges attend courtrooms at hearings and sentencings in order to let the judges and lawyers know the community demands competent prosecution and meaningful sentencing for pedophiles. On occasion, a volunteer monitor will address the court.
We believe the community has a right to paricipate in court proceedings: In most cases, this is the place where their last victim is living – and in some cases, this is the place where their next victim is living!
Victim Support:
Assists victims and their families in obtaining treatment and counseling. We sponsor two support groups for adult survivors of childhood abuse and for people raising children who have been victimized. Participation in Victims No More! and Parenting the Victimized Child, is free of charge to Brevard residents. Referrals are also made to qualified treatment providers.

About The Guardian Brevard
The Guardian Brevard is a free quarterly publication distributed throughout Brevard County via the city halls, public libraries, fire departments, police and sheriff stations. 1000 copies are delivered to the public schools for faculty and staff. The Guardian Brevard includes pictures, profiles, address information and location maps pinpointing the whereabouts of child-molesters living in our neighborhoods.
