Protect Our Children, Inc. is an organization of local citizens committed to fighting the sexual victimization of children through the following programs:
“Roll and Toss” Party 2009
Court Monitor Program:
Volunteers wearing large badges attend courtrooms at hearings and sentencings in order to let the judges and lawyers know the community demands competent prosecution and meaningful sentencing for pedophiles. On occasion, a volunteer monitor will address the court.
We believe the community has a right to paricipate in court proceedings: In most cases, this is the place where their last victim is living – and in some cases, this is the place where their next victim is living!
Victim Support:
Assists victims and their families in obtaining treatment and counseling. We sponsor two programs for adult survivors of childhood abuse and for people raising children who have been victimized. Participation in Victims No More! and Parenting the Victimized Child, is free of charge to Brevard residents.
Victims No More! is a nonclinical support group for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Designed to operate in conjunction with ongoing therapies, the program specializes in adult survivors who are in recovery from addictive disorders and self-destructive behaviors. During periods when enrollment is inadequate to populate a group, prospective participants may be placed on a waiting list, and referred to qualified treatment providers or similar groups.
Parenting The Victimized Child is an eclectic support program, customized to meet the needs of the protective adult and the child victims. Support may take the form of counseling, group support and other necessary services. Typically, an experienced volunteer will be assigned as “Coach”, other members of Protect Our Children may assist or consult as “Team Mates”. Our involvement with families in this program is typically long in duration, and may involve multidisciplinary approaches which are brought to bear, in support, of the family as the children grow to adulthood.

About The Guardian Brevard
The Guardian Brevard is a free quarterly publication distributed throughout Brevard County via the city halls, public libraries, fire departments, police and sheriff stations. 1000 copies are delivered to the public schools for faculty and staff. The Guardian Brevard includes pictures, profiles, address information and location maps pinpointing the whereabouts of child-molesters living in our neighborhoods.
